A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only the information in that message, and we use it to respond.

Like most hosted services, the site receives routine server-log information such as IP address, browser type, page requests, and timestamps. We review aggregate patterns to maintain the service and understand use of the reference. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
What We Do With This Data
That limited data supports operation, error diagnosis, traffic measurement, and improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.

Links lead to Allegheny County and Pennsylvania portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their own privacy terms govern information submitted there, including information submitted through sponsored-result tools.

Hosting and support providers process the technical logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires it.
How We Protect Your Data
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Since there are no user accounts, Pittsburgh Residents Directory does not keep a visitor password or profile.

This service is directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information a website holds. Pennsylvania research did not identify a statewide general consumer-data-broker registry, universal deletion right, or general opt-out for public-source data. Because this reference retains little information, a request usually involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable server logs. Use the Contact page. Public records held by Pennsylvania, Allegheny County, or Pittsburgh remain under the relevant custodian’s control.
